Job Overview:
CKDU-FM's Radio Producer will prepare a one-hour radio show daily from Monday through Friday, centering on on news, events, and music from and surrounding the African Nova Scotian community.

**Duties**:

- Research and investigate news stories to uncover facts and gather credible sources.
- Write and report on news stories in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
- Conduct interviews with key individuals to gather information for news stories.
- Edit and proofread news articles to ensure accuracy and adherence to journalistic standards.
- Collaborate with editors and other team members to develop story ideas and coverage plans.

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in a compelling way.
- Proficiency in bilingual languages is a plus.
- Strong research skills to gather accurate and relevant information.
- Exceptional writing abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in proofreading and copy editing to ensure high-quality content delivery.
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial territorial legislation and regulations.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 9 weeks

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
