**About the Role - How you will Contribute to the Service**:
The Halton Regional Police is a progressive Service that is stepping forward as a leader in the emerging field of police analytics. We are seeking a **Full Time** **Data Analyst** - **(Police Analytics Specialist)** to help drive our HRPS initiatives, addressing large scale challenges that will yield outcomes for our police service and our community.

**What you’ll Bring to the Role**:
**Education, Certifications and Qualifications**:Minimum university degree in an analytical discipline such as Math, Economics, Computer Science, Physics or Engineering.

**Experience, Knowledge and Skills**:

- Minimum 5 years of progressive related analytical experience
- Real-world experience with writing queries in SQL and creating reports/dashboards in PowerBI, or coding web-based data tools in PHP/Javascript.
- Demonstrated ability in SQL/ Microsoft SQL Server and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability in Power BI, or Tableau, or Qlik.

**Demonstrated ability (experience) in the following**:

- Related certification
- Real-world SSIS knowledge (asset)
- Python (with a focus on ML is an asset)
- Excel Visual Basics for Application (VBA)
- R (asset)

**Note**: The successful applicant will need to pass a background check to the satisfaction of the Service which will include reference checks with previous employers, verification of educational achievements, and a criminal background screen.

Core Working Hours: 35 hours per week: Monday - Friday

**Salary Range: $90,738-$101,931**
