Reporting to the Director, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre/VP, Cancer, University Health Network (UHN), the **Director, Foundation Relations** is a new leadership role that will serve as a bridge between Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation (PMCF) to ensure the alignment of programmatic needs and philanthropic funds.

As the PMCF embarks on a new comprehensive fundraising campaign to support cancer research, care, and education at the Cancer Centre, this role will be pivotal to the overall success. The **Director, Foundation Relations** will be part of shaping the long-term vision for this role over the life of the Campaign, ensuring it properly reflects the needs of the Cancer Centre and enables fundraising efforts for key programs and priorities. The position will be situated in the Cancer Centre but will maintain close relationships with the PMCF leadership team.

The **Director, Foundation Relations** will be a dedicated resource to advocate for Cancer Centre priorities within the context of the Campaign and support a holistic approach to major and transformational gifts. They will be uniquely positioned to build relationships and processes across stakeholder groups, while facilitating meaningful collaborations and fostering a longer-term view of priorities and donations needed to transform cancer outcomes.

Primary responsibilities include building the priority identification process and costing models for the Cancer Centre in support of the Campaign; informing and approving the content of transformational gifts requests; developing strategic relationships across senior level stakeholders in both organizations; managing donor stewardship requirements on behalf of the VP, Cancer; and leading the build of a dashboard tor reporting to the VP, Cancer on various financial and non-financial metrics.

**Key Priorities for the Director, Foundation Relations**

**Campaign Priority Planning and Management**
- Designs, deploys, and manages the annual and Campaign priority setting framework, which includes costing and approval processes, to enable successful strategic fundraising efforts for the Campaign.
- Triages off-cycle and donor-driven requests on behalf of the VP, Cancer and provides necessary information in a timely manner to enable matching of PMCF requests with identified Cancer Centre needs/priorities.
- Develops mechanisms, metrics and indicators to monitor and evaluate the progress of the Campaign against priority areas, and reports to the VP, Cancer and Research Director at regular intervals. Anticipates issues and risks, leads the discussion and review of risks with the senior leadership team, troubleshoots issues and navigates the system to lead the implementation of solutions.**Campaign Liaison and Strategic Relationship Management**
