Please note we are looking for someone local in the **Montreal area** as this is a **hybrid **position.

Reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Specialist will support, maintain and evolve the company’s technology strategy and ensure the technology infrastructure, both hardware and software, is the most secure, effective and efficient for the organization.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the effective management and operation of the technical infrastructure (hardware, servers, networking, etc.)
- Work closely with other areas of the company to understand technology needs/issues and determine solutions
- Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable about emerging technologies and upgrades on existing systems
- Play a key role in implementing technology priorities, integrations, and other technology changes
- Lead training and reinforcement activities
- Identify security risks and help implement security measures
- Participate in annual hardware and software reviews
- Support disaster and backup recovery activities
- Respond to support requests as needed
- Provide coverage for other IT Team members as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in an IT role with demonstrated advanced knowledge of one or more areas of IT infrastructure (software, hardware, networking, disaster recovery, cybersecurity)
- Advanced knowledge of:

- Server and Desktop Virtualization Creation and Management
- MS Office 365 Configuration and Administration
- Windows Server Installation and Configuration
- Windows Active Directory Configuration, Administration and Troubleshooting
- Cloud and Network Infrastructure (AWS an asset)
- ERP Software Management and Maintenance
- Knowledge of:

- SharePoint Online
- CRM Systems
- Microsoft Exchange
- Database software (Oracle and Microsoft SQL)
- Cybersecurity tools
- Effective analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to prioritize, problem solve, and act with urgency
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
