We are a well-established and growing BC business and one of Canada’s leading manufacturers of nutritional supplements, dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of our customers.
**In this role you will**:
- Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons
- Review historical sales trends and seasonal trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
- Partner with Sales & Marketing and lead demand driver review and alignment meetings
- Co-ordinate cross functional research activities to reconcile forecast variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
- Participate in New Product Introduction and lead the development of a consensus forecast for new item launches, from ideation to commercialization in market to post launch stabilization
- Conduct post event analysis to evaluate promotional activities and establish meaningful projections for future promotional volumes
- Collect and filter market intelligence from business partners to determine the impact to the forecast; document and incorporate assumptions into forecasts at item level
- Lead Demand Review to evaluate and align on rolling 24-month unconstrained demand plan
- Translate unconstrained demand plan into SKU level operational forecast for Supply Chain
**You Have**:
- 3-5+ years’ experience in Demand Planning
- Experience with a high SKU seasonal business and understanding of customer base/market
- Strong technical skills with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with statistical forecasting and/or modeling including the use of forecasting software such as one or more of the following: John Galt Forecast X, Forecast Pro, SAP APO-DP, SteelWedge, Voyager Demand Planning, etc.
- Bachelors’ degree in Logistics, Statistics, Business, Industrial Engineering or other mathematics related fields
- IBF Certified Professional Forecaster or similar designation an asset
- Excellent communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills
