Food Processing Labourer

Position: Food Processing Labourer
- Agricola St. Halifax, NS
- Salary16.00 to 20.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 40 hours per week

- Working hours: 7am to 3pm

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Food safety/handling skills
- Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines
- Manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers
- Feed and unload processing machines
- Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
- Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties
- Clean machines and immediate work areas

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- MUST be strong and physically fit - be able to lift 50-60lb blocks of meat
- Must be able to make your shift start time
- Must not be afraid of using Machete or Band Saw
- Must be alert and able to work with a team
- This job is very Hands on and you work with Raw Product
- food handling knowledge an asset
- Cleaning required in the afternoons
