Job description

The Summer Soccer Sports Coach will be responsible for delivering training to participants and to provide a safe, high quality experience for students under the design of the camp Head coach in the mornings as well as regular camp activities in the afternoon.

The Coach is responsible to work together with camp leaders and camp head coach to provide participants with an opportunity to learn through a series of progressive activities to teach essential to advanced skills that provide the best opportunity for students to have fun and learn.

The Coach is responsible for managing and maintaining their training area, equipment and monitoring/reporting on the development of students throughout the camp, this will be an excellent opportunity to gain leadership experience.

The Coach will also be responsible for executing other activities assigned the Camp Head Coach.

The Coach is responsible to work together with camp leaders and camp head coach to provide participants with an opportunity to learn through a series of progressive activities to teach essential to advanced skills that provide the best opportunity for students to have fun and learn.

The Coach is responsible for managing and maintaining their training area, equipment and monitoring/reporting on the development of students throughout the camp, this will be an excellent opportunity to gain leadership experience.

The Coach will also be responsible for executing other activities assigned the Camp Head Coach.

**Responsibilities of the job include**:

- Counsellors (along with other team counsellors) are responsible for a group of 15 to 20 children on a daily basis;
- Ensure children's safety at all times;
- Model constructive participation in all daily activities;
- Use group management skills to engage all children in daily activities;
- Work closely with the Camp Director and Head Coach to ensure implementation soccer programming
- Plan/organize activities that give children the opportunity to express themselves creatively
- Plan/organize (with support) activities that are recreational and educational (consisting of Language, Math Science, Arts and Crafts, Sports, Outdoor Activities, etc.).

**Other Qualifications**:

- Counsellors must be at least 16-30 years of age.
- All Counsellors must participate in training before camp begins.
- First Aid/ CPR Certification must be obtained before the start of camp
- Excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Education/Child and Youth Care
