Thunder Bay, Canada Amik Catering Limited Full time

Lac Des Iles mine site is 700-person mining camp located roughly 2hrs outside of Thunder Bay. While working the 14 days on, you are required to live on site for those 2 weeks.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Wash dishes and pots when required
- Assist with line service during mealtimes
- Recording all kitchen preparation and production
- Sweep and mop all fridges, freezers, and dry stores, daily
- Wash pots and dishes during and after all services
- Clean all areas of the Kitchen/Dining Room after all services
- Be able to operate all kitchen equipment
- Emptying and cleaning garbage bins during and after production and service
- Assist in the preparation of vegetables, salads, and sandwiches
- Check areas for defects that require repairing & notify the Manager/Chef
- Report any incidents of fire, accidents, theft etc. & take appropriate action
- Be aware of hygiene practices within kitchen environment
- Attend meetings and training courses as required
- Carry out any request made by Manager/Chef
- Production and packaging of leftovers and prepared meals for the lunchroom
- Assist with food storage and retrieval from coolers & refrigerators
- Report all accidents to Chef/Management
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Proper PPE shall be worn at all, times where tasks require.

Must have the capacity to work long periods away from home, as the typical work rotation is fourteen (14) consecutive 12-hour workdays, however this can be extended due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
- Shifts include weekends, holidays and in emergency situations as required.
- To frequently function in activities involving walking, bending, squatting, reaching

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Highschool / GED
- Valid Workplace materials Information System Certificate (WHMIS)
- Must be able to complete and pass company medical, Drug and alcohol testing, and Criminal background check, as required
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Good Flexibility and Innovative Skills
