**What you will do**

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the financial reporting and projection process, delivering the necessary insights to the senior management on the performance of the Medical division.

**Individual Responsibilities**:

**Functional Responsibilities**:

- Perform detailed financial analysis and follow-up on commercial business unit monthly performance versus budget or forecast related to gross-margin and price/volume
- Analyze and report on monthly departmental and cost center expense variances to budget or forecast
- Responsible for ad-hoc analysis and information requests from Canadian business unit leaders, Divisional leaders and Canada leadership team (CLT)
- Works collaboratively with business partners in preparation and distribution of standard business unit reports
- Support Senior Sales Incentive Specialist in the administration of sales incentive compensation including maintaining sales attribution and territory alignments
- Direct involvement in the preparation of budgets, projections, and strategic plans for Stryker Canada and business units
- Assist with loading of budget, projection, and strategic plan information into Hyperion for income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and headcount reporting
- Preparation of PowerPoint slide decks for business reviews, budget/forecast meetings, and any other high level meetings
- Drives continuous improvement with respect to quality of financial information (timeliness, accuracy, clarity, transparency) as well as processes and procedures

**Knowledge & Skill Requirements**
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (designing, building and maintaining files)
- PowerBI and PowerPoint skills an asset
- Capable of analyzing and resolving complex accounting issues of a broad scope using independent judgment
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to handles multiple priorities and manage projects to timely conclusion
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills; comfortable dealing with all levels of management and maintaining relationships with divisional personnel
- Posses the ability to think ‘outside the box’ in relation to process improvement and data integrity
- Works well under pressure to meet tight timelines without compromising accuracy

**What you need**
- Degree in Business with a concentration in accounting/finance is required
- 0+ years experience required
- 1+ years of finance/accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP and Hyperion Financials would be an asset
- Internal applicants with an equivalent combination of education, experience and performance over time at Stryker will be considered
