**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Purpose of the job**:
Reporting to the HR Manager, the Immigration Specialist will assist the HR Department and support Digital

**Essential Functions/Responsibilities**:

- Provide immigration support for new and existing hires, including compiling necessary documentation for work permits (temporary foreign worker program, international mobility program, CSQ, CAQ/PR), partnering with HR Manager on solving immigration queries, work permit expiration tracking and escalating to outside counsel if required
- Administrative support for employees’ daily immigration requests and escalates any employee relations issues to the HR Manager
- Maintain Employee Files and keep HRIS/databases accurate at all times
- Participate in the organizational compliance with all immigration-related laws and regulations

**Education and/or Experience Required**:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Possess/or working towards Certified Human Resources Professional (CRHA) designation and/or

Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) designation considered a strong asset
- Demonstrated understanding of immigration procedures (LMIA’s, NAFTA, IMP, CSQ etc.)
- 3+ years of HR and/or immigration experience, particularly with data administration and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite, with good knowledge and understanding of Excel functions and formulas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Experience in a fast-paced, project driven and innovative industry such as visual effects, animation, technology, film, TV, or advertising is preferred.

- Strict adherence to confidentiality and high ethical standards with proven ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to prioritize and complete a wide variety of tasks efficiently within a high-pressure and shifting environment while meeting strict deadlines.
- A desire to grow and learn. The ability to seek out answers from supervisors and other sources. The ability to evaluate current practices and show the initiative to recommend solutions for more efficient processes within one’s purview.
- A desire to work in a team environment, where collaboration is appreciated.

**Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands**:

- Office working environment.
- Hours for this position are based on normal working hours but will require extra hours pending production needs.

**Tâches et responsabilités principales**:

- Gère le processus d’orientation des nouveaux employés
- Fournir un soutien en matière d'immigration aux employés, incluant la compilation de la documentation nécessaire pour les différentes procédures (programme des travailleurs étrangers temporaires, programme de mobilité internationale, CSQ, CAQ / PR), en partenariat avec le gestionnaire des ressources humaines pour la résolution des questions d'immigration, le suivi de l'expiration des permis de travail, éventuellement en partenariat avec une firme externe.
- Collaborer avec le service de la paie dans la soumission hebdomadaire des documents de paie et l'administration continue des avantages sociaux
- Support administratif pour les demandes quotidiennes des employés et signale tout problème de relations avec les employés au gestionnaire des ressources humaines
- Tenir à jour les fichiers des employés et garder le SIRH / les bases de données exacts à tout moment
- Collaborer avec les services des systèmes, des installations et de la formation pour prévoir les besoins en lien avec le nouvelles embauches et des ré-embauches
- Participer à la conformité de l'organisation avec toutes les lois et réglementations liées à l'emploi
