**SERVICE WRITER /ADVISOR**

**Job description**

**SWS Marine Group Ltd. is an industry leading Marine Sales & Service provider specializing in premium Wake, Tow and Pleasure boats. We are the exclusive Malibu Boats, Axis Wake, Chaparral Boats and Barletta Pontoon boat dealer in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the BC interior.**

- **Have prior marine or automotive mechanical basic knowledge**:

- **Have experience: writing detailed repair orders, scheduling repairs, customer communication & follow up. Parts searching, ordering and receiving an asset.**:

- **Proven attention to detail, motivated and willing to learn, reliable, organized, punctual and ready to contribute to a positive working environment**:

- **Interest in boats and the lake lifestyle an asset**:

- **Possess adequate computer skills**:

- **Drivers License Required**

**Responsibilities**
- **Scheduling service work appropriately**:

- **Keeping track of job status/progress**:

- **Dispatching work orders to appropriate technicians in collaboration with the shop foreman.**:

- **Creating and updating work orders with proper documentation in a timely manner**:

- **Performing walkarounds with service customers**:

- **Pre-selling additional work proactively. Suggesting additional service and parts.**:

- **Explaining work to the customers and getting approval.**:

- **Tracking open work orders on a tangible system (route sheet, board, etc.)**:

- **Follow up with techs on progress**:

- **Knowledge of available work hours in shop**:

- **Performing work order audits to quality check all lines addressed, pricing accurate, parts and sublets billed, etc.**:

- **Add needed future work to a ‘rainy day list’ so we have a resource during the slow season and can target marketing**:

- **Customer communications. Updates, approvals and follow up.**:

- **Some cross training with Parts Advisor role necessary**

**Salary will be aligned with experience and qualifications and will include a service & parts revenue based bonus.**

**Salary**: $4,000.00-$5,500.00 per month

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Service Writer or Advisor: 1 year (preferred)
