**Job: Racquet Stringer/Sales Associate**

**Tennis Central is a premier tennis retailer specializing in private tennis clubs in Downtown and Midtown Toronto. Our stores offer high-performance equipment, shoes, apparel, and accessories. We are currently looking for a racquet stringer/sales associate.**

**Stringing experience is preferred but not required, all necessary training will be provided.**

**Compensation & Hours**
- **Shop hours are Mon-Friday 10am - 8pm, Saturday & Sunday 10am - 6pm. Tennis Central is looking for a 30-40 hours per week commitment. Shift scheduling is flexible.**:

- **Tennis Central offers competitive compensation starting at $16.55 an hour plus $2 per racquet strung. A competent stringer can string at least 2 racquets an hour.**:

- **TLTC Meal Plan.**:

- **Paid lunch break.**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- **Assist managers in running the store, conducting inventory counts, re-stock merchandise in the display areas, and all other retail-related tasks**:

- **Picking up and dropping off racquets from our different locations, all are within walking distance or via TTC.**:

- **Interact daily with clients providing help and care when needed including racquet and stringing advice.**:

- **Answering phone calls and providing adequate answers to questions about products and services.**:

- **Carefully and efficiently stringing tennis, squash, and badminton racquets according to racquet specifications for clients and professionals.**:

- **Identify possible damage and defects to racquets and/or strings and make an assessment of the necessary corrective actions.**:

- **Repairing and replacing accessories as needed.**:

- **Spend the last 30 min of each shift cleaning the shop and doing necessary prep for the next day i.e. cutting out strings from racquets, organizing string reels, regripping all strung racquets to be put away, and taking out trash at the end of day.**:

- **Maintaining a safe and clean work environment including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, taking out recycling throughout the day, and cleaning stringing machines.**:

- **Participating with the store team to achieve a high level of customer service, store readiness, store cleanliness, control of assets, health and safety, and compliance with Tennis Central policies.**:

- **Check out customers efficiently using the LightSpeed POS system.**

**Requirements**:

- **Customer service skills geared towards high-profile clientele (preferred)**:

- **Have some sort of POS system training (preferred)**:

- **Must show some stringing competency during stringing training during the interview and be able to pass 3 stringing assessments sufficiently during the 3-month probation period**

Pay: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Day range:

- Every Weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Shift:

- 8 hour shift

Work setting:

- Specialty store

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Serving It Right (preferred)
