Northland Workwear and Embroidery is a premier supplier of fire-retardant workwear, corporate apparel and embroidery services to Edmonton and surrounding area for over 30 years. We support our community through manufacturing all our fire-retardant safety garments locally. Our family run organization takes pride in outfitting workers in the firefighting, trades, and energy sectors.

Northland is looking for career-oriented individuals to join our team. To help new hires thrive, Northland has an excellent support structure and will train individuals who are interested in the garment manufacturing/clothing industry.

Duties and responsibilities include working with other seamstresses on a team to compose various styles of coveralls and workwear. This role requires the operation of industrial sewing machines.

Qualifications:

- Experience with industrial sewing machines (One of: single needle/double needle/serger)
- Team oriented and positive attitude
- Experience in manufacturing coveralls or other workwear preferred
- Willingness to learn
- Strong self-motivation to drive results and help team fulfill deadlines
- Ability to commute to our location (6315 76 Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T6B 0A7); Parking available. Access to public transit available during our scheduled work hours.
- Being able to communicate through either English/Mandarin/Cantonese/Vietnamese. **It is not a requirement to speak English.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
