**The role**:
The Senior Business Architect will be responsible for defining and maintaining the organization's business architecture and ensuring alignment with the organization's goals, strategies, and capabilities. The Senior Business Architect will be responsible for developing and implementing business architecture artifacts, deliverables and outcomes, as well as working with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving the organization's operations and processes. In addition, the Business Architect works though others at every level of the organization soliciting strategic imperatives from senior leaders and executives and supporting business unit managers as they leverage business architecture artifacts to create their business plans. Finally, the Business Architecture Specialist provide direct input into the governance cycle that supports the achievement of key goals, planning and execution of various business scenarios, and delivery of bottom-line business value.

**Responsabilties**:

- Develop and maintain the organization's business architecture, including the business capability model, process models, data models, value chain diagrams, and business rules.
- Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving the organization's operations and processes.
- Business capability maps that describe the organization's capabilities needed to achieve its goals
- Business process models that describe the steps involved in key business processes
- Data models that describe the data used by the organization
- Value chain diagrams that show the flow of value through the organization
- Business rules that describe the constraints and requirements that govern the organization's operations
- Develop and implement business architecture artifacts, deliverables, and outcomes to support organizational transformation initiatives.
- Identify and analyze gaps between the current and desired state of the organization's business architecture and develop plans to close these gaps.
- Implementation plans for closing gaps between the current and desired state of the organization's business architecture
- Recommendations for improving the organization's operations and processes based on analysis of the business architecture
- Alignment between the business architecture and the organization's goals, strategies, and capabilities
- Adoption of the business architecture by stakeholders across the organization
- Contribution to the organization's overall strategy and transformation initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between the business architecture and the organization's goals, strategies, and capabilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the organization to promote the use of the business architecture.
- Provide thought leadership in the area of business architecture and participate in industry forums and events.
- Develop a business architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
- Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functions.
- Define the set of strategic, core and support processes that transcend functional and organizational boundaries; identify and describe external entities such as customers, suppliers, and external systems that interact with the business; and describe which people, resources and controls are involved in the processes.
- Define the data shared across the enterprise and the relationships between those data.
