**Job Title: Logistics Specialist/Buyer**

This role is crucial in managing our supply chain operations, ensuring seamless procurement, inventory management, and logistics coordination.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Procurement and Buying**: Manage procurement activities across multiple product categories, including issuing RFQs (Request for Quotes), creating Purchase Orders (POs), and monitoring supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery.
- **Supplier Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, while actively sourcing new suppliers to enhance product offerings and optimize costs.
- **Negotiation and Contracts**: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure the best possible terms for AutoShack.
- **Inventory Management**: Oversee inventory levels, utilizing forecasting tools to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce excess inventory.
- **Logistics Coordination**:Manage shipping container contracts, coordinate delivery schedules with trucking companies, and ensure the timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- **Compliance and Quality Assurance**: Ensure that all suppliers adhere to packaging and quality standards before shipping, maintaining the integrity of products throughout the supply chain.
- **Market Research and Analysis**: Conduct thorough research on new products and categories, analyze market trends, and make recommendations to expand AutoShack’s product offerings.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement and logistics within an e-commerce or retail environment.
- **Technical Proficiency**: Strong computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables) and experience with forecasting and procurement systems.
- **Analytical Skills**: Highly detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a data-driven environment.
- **Communication and Negotiation**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record in negotiation and contract management.
- **Logistics Expertise**: Experience with shipping and logistics, including managing container shipments and coordinating with trucking companies, is preferred.
