We are currently looking to hire a:
**Clinical Psychologist - ABI Outreach Team**
1-Permanent Part-Time (7 hrs/week, or 1 day per week)

**Reporting To**:Manager, Community Health and Support Services

**Purpose**:
We require an experienced Psychologist to work as a member of SCHC’s ABI Outreach Team. The ABI
Outreach Team is an interdisciplinary team of professionals that supports people with an Acquired Brain
Injury, as well as their families, in their homes and other community settings as needed. The team is composed of professionals who work as one team to support the complex healthcare needs of this client population, their families and caregivers.

**Key areas of responsibility**:

- Supports the rehabilitation of adults with Acquired Brain Injuries by providing various services including psychological assessments, individual/group counselling, and education to clients/families and documents in SCHC’s EMR as required
- Consultation to team members and/or community professionals and documents into SCHC’s

EMR as required
- Supports the work of the inter-disciplinary team using methods and findings of psychology and psychological theories to increase the well-being of clients with Acquired Brian Injuries including individuals with co-morbid issues such as Anxiety, Depression and other Mental Health challenges as well as Addiction and Behavioural Problems
- Provides professional/clinical expertise to the team’s Behaviour Therapist regarding the development and implementation of behaviour plans
- Understand, interpret, and embody SCHC’s mission, vision, and values
- Promote person and family centered care in practice with a strong emphasis on an interdisciplinary team approach
- Promote a welcoming environment consistent with SCHC values for staff, students, volunteers and clients

**Educational and/or Professional Qualifications**:

- Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA/CPA accredited clinical psychology program
- Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario in good standing with authorized practice in clinical psychology with adults

**Level of Experience**
- 2-5 year previous experience in conducting cognitive-behavioural and behavioural approaches
- Experience working with individuals who have an acquired brain injury is considered an asset
- Proof of required professional liability insurance

- Ability to create a collaborative multidisciplinary working environment which fosters high morale and effective staff relationships and participation
- Knowledge and understanding of individuals with an acquired brain injury
- Ability to stay calm, focused and enjoy multitasking in a complex and demanding environment
- Sensitivity to and awareness of cultural, racial and socio-economic diversity within the community
- Ability to direct the investigation and resolution of client complaints
- Ability to work between multiple sites due to program locations

Practice Solutions (PSS)
- Valid Driver License to drive in Ontario and access to a vehicle an asset

- Traveling, including across sites, as required to support program planning and delivery of services
- Working with clients who sometimes exhibit difficult behaviours

**Remuneration**: A

**Band**:$48.35 - $68.48
