The Maintenance Apprentice will receive on-the-job training on performing inspections, preventative maintenance, and will assist with minor repairs to ensure proper performance and safety of company vehicles. THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Lube Technician with GFL, you will be performing preventative maintenance on our fleet. This will include carrying out onsite Lube Service to ensure equipment is operating in an environmentally safe and efficient manner. The Lube service technician will be responsible for reporting machine hours, and ensuring work orders are completed efficiently.

**Job Duties**:
Perform on-site maintenance, oil and filter changes and any other preventative service based on manufacturer’s guidelines.
Ensure all equipment meets GFL quality standard and safety standards.
Follow procedures related to mobile servicing of equipment.
Adheres to all Company safety standards.
Communicate with dispatch, equipment hours, service requests and inventory.
Other duties as assigned
Maintain accurate records of all service, and other work as required.

**Qualifications**:
2 years of Heavy Equipment service, repair or related experience.
Valid Driver’s license
Previous relevant experience in Waste Management (preferred)
Must possess a mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
Ability to work outdoors, must be able to withstand difficult conditions caused by dust, temperature changes and weather.
