SLACAN Industries Inc. is Canada's largest designer and manufacturer of Poleline Hardware, which includes a full line of Transmission and Distribution products. We service the OEM market including agricultural, mining, and other industries. Our in-house processes include forgings, hot / cold stampings and weldments.

**Position Overview**

Our team is seeking an IT Manager who thrives on hands-on problem-solving and is driven by a passion for continuous learning. Join our team and spearhead our technological initiatives with innovation and expertise.

Your role will be pivotal in managing, directing, and overseeing the smooth operation of our IT department. You'll be instrumental in recommending, sourcing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge computer systems - both hardware and software. Your efforts will be focused on enhancing productivity, efficiency, and automation across our entire facility.

**Responsibilities**
- Stay at the forefront of technological advancements, continuously monitoring and recommending new technologies to align with Slacan's objectives.
- Ensure optimal IT service levels by actively participating in the development of structures and processes aimed at enhancing IT support services.
- Collaborate closely with department managers to understand their needs and proactively manage technology-related requirements to support their operations.
- Provide valuable support to corporate projects and initiatives by offering resource assistance, conducting business case analyses, preparing budgets, and estimating resources.
- Cultivate and oversee relationships with suppliers providing computer hardware, software, and telecom services, ensuring alignment with our business needs and objectives.
- Lead and manage IT personnel to efficiently oversee and operate our technological infrastructure, driving operational excellence.
- Other duties as assigned

**Knowledge and Experience**
- Post secondary education in computer science, technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership and/or managing business technology projects and IT infrastructure.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- Experience in customer support, project management and delivery of results.
- Extensive experience in ERP systems (Infor CSI 10 an asset)
- Solid troubleshooting and problem solving skills and implementing new processes.
- Ability to set appropriate expectations and deadlines of self and other members of the IT team.
- Ability to handle multiple initiatives and issues focused on resolving customer concerns and system improvements.
