**Job Purpose**

The Prep Cook position assists with the food preparation, organization and creation processes. Cooks report to the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Chef de Cuisine. This position is required to be versatile and responsive to the tasks the team needs in producing the highest quality dishes and service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working as part of a team to create dishes guests will love while delivering consistent, quality service
- Being organized and having everything in its place so you can respond to orders in a timely and orderly way
- Working in a fast-paced environment that is clean, tidy, and safe
- A deep love of food and the belief in its ability to motivate, inspire, educate and entertain
- Being part of a team of positive, high achievers who care about their guests and the company they are representing

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
- 2-3 years of kitchen experience, ideally in events or banquets
- Experience with all kitchen equipment and practices, including meat cutting, seafood preparation, grilling, searing, vegetable prep and sauce making
- Ability to follow recipes
- Strong organization skills
- A strong work ethic and team player mentality
- Valid class 5 driver’s license (asset)
- Food Safe (a must)
