Peter Cellars in an intimate 30 seat full service pub located in the basement of the Mono Cliffs Inn, a heritage building in Dufferin County. Building on an almost 40 year history, the role of Pub Keep is a unique position within the Mono Cliffs Inn restaurant. We are looking for someone that has a foundation of inspirational leadership and passion for excellence our dynamic management team. You will be responsible for driving the business forward while overseeing a wide range of activities from day to day operations, staff training and guest engagement, the Pub Keep is ultimately responsible for leading the pub's daily success while upholding the beloved Mono Cliffs Inn’s brand image and values.

Pub Keep Job Description

You will be a manager, bartender & server all in one (with a support staff). As the face and personality of the pub, you are responsible for the overall dining experience of each guest. The Pub Keep plays a key role in creating the vibe and an environment where our guest feels relaxed and engaged. Pub Keep Key Roles

- Provide the guest suggestions/recommendations for food and beverages based on their wants or needs

- Pub cleanliness including all bar equipment, tools, and surfaces

Duties & Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable about Mono Cliffs Inn including all products, menus and promotions - be able to relate all information in appealing and informative manner to all guests
- Table & bar service - taking orders, answering menu and beverage inquiries, explaining daily features, placing orders with kitchen while following all standards as it pertains to each task
- Delivery of food and beverage to tables in the pub dining area
- Processing bills and taking payment
- Handling guest concerns with and without the support of the management team
- Providing the highest quality of service at all times in all guest interactions
- Clearing, setting, polishing, and cleaning tables, glassware and utensils
- Preparation and cleanliness of the bar area and equipment before, after and during each service
- Proper adherence to all cash handling procedures as outlined in company policies
- Correct use of POS system, adhering to all company standards and policies
- Preparing alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Mix ingredients to prepare classic and specialty cocktails - ensure consistent adherence to recipes
- Ensure consistent inventory through regular inventories and recipe adherence - maintain liquor and bar supplies
- Communicate any low stock or product availability updates to the General Manager
- Maintain highest level of cleanliness on all bar surfaces including counters, tools, and equipment
- Ensure safe and responsible alcohol service as per all Smart Serve Regulations
- Count and reconcile bar float and daily transactions
- Ensure food is presented with exceptional level of detail prior to delivering to guests

Job Requirements
- Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a high-paced environment
- Minimum of 2-year related bartending/management experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a full-service restaurant environment
- Fluency in English both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 40lbs, must be able to stoop and bend
- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions
- Current and valid Smart Serve certification
