**Job Summary**: The Shop Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the shop department and team. Oversight of all key performance indicators, communications, and coaching/development of the team to meet/exceed the targets. This all supports the effortless customer experience for both our internal and external customers. The Shop Supervisor should have a strong focus on health and safety, the development of people, and continuous improvement practices.

**Key Work Activities**:
**Activity A Operations**

**60%**
- Supervise day to day operations of the shop
- Manage technician KPI’s such as H&S initiatives, utilization, work order management and inventory management
- Complete Leader Standard Work with all supporting documents weekly
- Onboard all new employees as per GNJ guidelines
- Comply with all GNJ policies surrounding Code of Conduct
- Comply with all GNJ policies surrounding the H&S handbook
- Spend 70% of time on the floor coaching, Technician 1:1’s, developing and performing formal/informal audits with the team
- Spend 30% of the time performing administrative responsibilities (running reports, follow-ups, attending meetings, etc.)
- Support in managing KPI’s for RRL - meeting all deadlines for used truck sales
- Support in managing rentals in general, completing service WO’s for PDI’s and repairs, and rental tracker updates daily for all rental orders
- Support in managing New Equipment sales - PDI’s, modifications, installations and meeting all deadlines to deliver

**Activity B **Health & Safety/ASEC/RLM**

- Continue to build upon H&S culture, while maintaining all H&S records and accreditations
- Manage/conduct accident investigation, report on findings with preventative actions, and complete required documentation in accordance with H&S policy
- Meet weekly with shop operations team to review & discuss H&S topics/assignments
- Participate in TPS/Lean and H&S meetings
- Delegate/assign tasks or projects as required relating to ASEC & RLM
- Maintain RLM and ASEC certifications through continuous improvement activities such as leaders standard work, 5S, kaizen, defect tracking and Gemba Walks

**Activity C General**

**15%**
- Support shop manager in performance tracking and planning for continued growth of the shop
- Attend necessary Service, Sales, Rentals, Parts meetings and/or Town Halls
- Supervise new technician training and document progress
- Support shop manager in the review of processes to improve efficiency and quality to reduce cost
- Schedule and document required yearly inspections for shop equipment.
