Chaplain

Baptist Housing is looking for a compassionate, team oriented, permanent part-time Chaplain to join our team in White Rock to meet the Spiritual Care needs of residents and team members at Evergreen Campus of Care with an emphasis on serving those in long-term care. The role serves 4 days per week. Responsibilities include assessing residents’ spiritual needs, being part of an amazing multi-disciplinary team and organizing activities included in the provision of spiritual care. The chaplain will also have the privilege of building and managing a committed team of Spiritual Care volunteers. Collaboration with other chaplains and with team members to facilitate activities that promote wellness is another important aspect of the role.

To enhance the lives of our residents and team members, the chaplain plans times of Christian worship, bible teaching, prayer, and fellowship, as well as facilitating the ministry of other clergy and spiritual care volunteers. A key component of the role involves building relationships in a diverse community while respecting and accepting the values and beliefs of others. Relationships will be built through visitation and participation in other planned community activities.

**Qualifications**
- Must affirm agreement with the Baptist Housing Ministries Statement of Faith
- Willing to gain endorsement of the Fellowship of Evangelical Churches in BC
- Knowledge of geriatrics and experience with seniors to understand their unique needs
- Consent for a Criminal Record Check (CRC) for working with Vulnerable Adults
