Estimator (Manufacturing)

Maxfield is a progressive, experienced and leading manufacturer well known for its high-quality products. This includes design, engineering, fabrication, packaging and servicing a range of pressure vessels, pipe spooling, structural skids and cargo transports. Maxfield also services the truck and transport, natural resources (oil and natural gas, and mining), propane distribution and marketing, power generation and cryogenic industries across Canada.

This position reports to the Operations Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work effectively with Sales to prepare bid packages based on client specifications.
- Prepare accurate estimates of project costs.
- Help develop and maintain estimating tools.
- Perform preliminary process sizing, vessel design, and instrument & valve selection.
- Effectively liaison with suppliers and customers.
- Perform quality checks on estimates (versus actuals) to ensure accuracy.
- Follow and lead by example all company safety policies and practices.

Qualifications:

- Experience with ASME Code VIII Div. I and B31.3 codes.
- Familiar with vessel and piping design
- Strong understanding of the oil and gas manufacturing industry.
- 2+ years experience as an estimator
- Proficient with computer software including Excel, Word, and experience with ERP preferably Epicor programs is an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience prioritizing, multi-tasking, and meeting deadlines.
