**Primary Responsibility**

Use your estimating experience along with strong interpersonal and analytical skills to carry out the responsibilities of the estimating department, assisting project management, project analysis. You will need to align yourself with the company initiatives, mission and values while showing care and respect in a team with all.

**Duties**
- Assist to develop, improve, and maintain an accurate and proficient estimating process.
- Gain a deep understating of the new projects through document review, site visit, knowledge of building practice/process, safety practices and OBC compliance.
- Enhance organization reputation wherever possible.
- Estimate reliable job costs, budgets, forecasts, and timelines.
- Ensuring pricing consistency by maintaining historical information on quoted and completed projects.
- Prepare written proposals and competitive bid packages for management review and client submission.
- Assist Project Manager with billing, scheduling, trade acquisition, purchasing, professionals and general project administration as required.
- Build long term relationships with key vendors.
- Seek out sales opportunities when they arise.
- Meet ongoing KPIs for measured success.
- Contribute to the team effort by where needed

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Post Secondary Diploma / Designation from a Canadian Accredited program in Construction Estimating or Architectural Technology/ Architectural Technician or similarly job related programs.
- Minimum of 2-4 years construction estimating experience.
- Over 5 years hands-on construction and renovation experience for residential and commercial projects is an asset.
- Ability to navigate, read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
- Must be analytical, thorough, attentive to detail, organized, goal oriented, trusted.
- Must have keyboarding speed over 45 wpm.
- Must have a generally friendly personality and positive disposition.
- Good verbal and written English communication (business level).
- Minimal creativity in design thought processing.
- Self-starter, self-thinker and processor with critical thinking and ability to formulate solutions independently.
- Good time management and organizational skill to prioritize activities effectively.
- Ability to multitask, work individually and in a team.
- Basic understanding of applicable health and safety in construction background.
- Proficient in MSExcel, MSWord and MSOutlook
- Knowledge of Planswift, MSProject, and other related softwares an asset

**Salary and Benefits**:

- Full time
- Salary $ 75-80K Depending on Experience
