**What you will do**
- Prevent shoplifter theft in a retail environment while providing customer service to clients, patrons and customers.
- Wear plain clothes to work undercover, discreetly blending in with shoppers.
- Patrol store aisles, monitor customers, and watch security camera footage.
- Confront individuals you suspect of theft, who have unpaid merchandise.
- Escort trespassers out of the client premises.
- Perform arrests, detainments, and recover unpaid merchandise.
- Complete required documentation for security incidents such as theft and violations.
- Escalate situation to law enforcement as required.
- Respond to emergency situations appropriately in a timely manner.
- A Valid Security License is required
- A keen interest in asset protection and crime prevention
- Previous security experience in a retail environment is required
- Possess knowledge of the 5 steps to follow to apprehend shoplifters
- Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifting
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, is required
- Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Advanced Security Training - authorization to carry handcuffs is an asset

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

**Experience**:

- LPO: 1 year (preferred)
