**Position Description**:
The Genetics and Genome Biology program is recruiting for a Biostatistician to work in collaboration with the Principal Investigator(PI) on the execution of ongoing projects, and the planning of upcoming studies, focusing on implementing statistical genetics for genome-wide linkage analysis, genome-wide association analysis, copy number determination and functional genomics studies.

**Here’s What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Contribute to preparation of reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
- Produce programming code to conduct existing statistical methods on genetic studies.
- Conduct literature reviews and keep current with study literature.
- Assist with design/development and implementation of new methods.
- Develop and monitor timelines for existing and upcoming studies.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Graduate degree in Biostatistics, or Statistics, with training in statistical genetics.
- Ability to function independently yet collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent statistical programming skills predominantly using R software.
- Experience with report and manuscript writing.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, facilitation and organizational skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.

**Employment Type**: Temporary, Full-Time (1 year contract with benefits, with possibilities for renewal) that corresponds to a 1.00 full-time equivalent (FTE).
