**GENERAL MANAGER - YVON INSULATION WOODSTOCK**

**Job Summary**:The General Manager is responsible for heading and managing the day-to-day business of the Woodstock division. This would include but not limited to, branch profitability, project & cost management, supply chain, distribution, full execution of the project, customer service, inventory management, maintaining building, modelling a great corporate culture, providing inspired leadership and setting a course of strategy through entrepreneurial management style.

**About Us**:Founded in 1972 as Yvon Insulation, the company was the only premier insulation company in the region for over 40 years and remained small. 10 years ago, the company was sold, making the company a two-in-one shop for complete home services. Yvon Building Supply offers a variety of quality products that include gypsum board, steel framing and affiliated products, while **Yvon Insulation still operates separately installing and removing insulation.** Yvon provides everything people need to build the walls in a house or office building. The company’s stated mission is to satisfy each customer’s needs and wishes. Providing customers with exceptional service is what sets the company apart from its competitors.

For homeowners and contractors in need of insulation, steel framing or gypsum board, there is no better place to go. The sales staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and Yvon employs expert technicians who can safely remove and install insulation products. **Job Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Provide inspired leadership and make high-level decisions about policy and strategy
- Customer management - Ensure customer satisfaction, provide great service in a timely manner
- Manage inventory within the branch and ensure adequate stock levels at all times
- Project management and cost control - Ensure projects are completed on time with exceptional quality
- Meet health & safety and security regulations and ensure these are up to standards
- Manage timely AR collection
- Opportunities - Increase sales, expand markets and promote business
- Process
- Ensure an adequate process is in place for checking deliveries and packaging slips. Verify invoices against packaging slips and track all expenditures.
- Manage bi-weekly payroll for all salaried and hourly employees
- Supervise all staff in the establishment and coordinate work to ensure productive operations at all times
- Providing accountability to and receiving from the senior management team, to meet company objectives and goals
- To provide innovation and improvement through a systematic approach to deliver solutions
- Identify and address challenges and opportunities for the company
- Develop and drive a high performing team through effective use coaching, open feedback and Performance Management process
- Ensure objectives and focused development plans are in place for each department
- Develop strong internal and external relationships with a focus on continuous improvement, innovative outcomes and business performance
- Work together with other divisions and Yvon Building Supply. Provide assistance when required
- Drive strategy, direction and decision making.
