Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Transportation Coordinator to join our team. As a Transportation Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing transportation activities to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a solid understanding of supply chain logistics.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling and dispatching drivers, tracking shipments, and ensuring on-time delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely shipment of products
- Manage relationships with customers and negotiate accessorial charges
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to track shipments and trucks
- Monitor transportation costs and implement cost-saving strategies
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with transportation regulations
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives
**Requirements**:

- supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in transportation coordination or logistics operations 2-3 years
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement

**The responsibilities of this opportunity are as follows**:

- Problem solving and ability to deal with high pressure situations
- Ability to dispatch 20+ trucks
- Assist in Lane planning, booking appts
- Assist tracking of trucks
- Assist with Custom PPW collection
- OT where required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
