**Position: Dozer Operator**

**Location: Edmonton, AB**

**Type: Full Time, Hourly**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience operating Dozers with experience in O&G, Pipeline Integrity, and Civil Construction
- Operate and maintain Dozer in a safe and efficient manner as it applies to stripping, stockpiling, cut and fill, sloping, ditching, spreading, ripping, grading, etc.
- Perform minor maintenance and inspection
- Ability to operate Dozer in passes over surfaces to raise or lower terrain as specified by Site Superintendent
- Level soil, rock and debris
- Ability to read grade stakes
- Demonstrate clear understanding of grading plans and drawings
- Perform a pre-operational equipment inspection checklist
- Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with Barrier’s safe work practices, policies and procedures
- Ability to identify hazards
- Report all incidents, near misses and equipment damage to site supervision
- Assist with other duties as required

**Required Qualifications**:

- Must be 18 years of age
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience working as a Dozer Operator with sloping and leveling (finish work)
- Minimum of 5 seasons as a finish Dozer Operator with GPS
- Previous experience operating on commercial and industrial projects is considered an asset
- Valid class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract) with own transportation
- Valid CSTS-2020
- Valid WHMIS 2015 certification
- Valid Ground Disturbance certification
- Valid First Aid certification

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to participate positively in an engaging culture
- Must be able to organize and plan tasks, with an ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Must be dependable
- Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
