*Garden care - watering, weeding, harvesting, pest management

*Measure - measure outputs such as weight of produce harvested, number of volunteers, hours of volunteer work, number of contacts made in the community, number of partnerships, etc.

*Reporting - monthly report on activities, outputs/measurables, what worked, what didn't work/why, ideas

*Volunteer coordination - scheduling, training, supporting garden workers

*Community engagement - plan and facilitate information sessions on the garden transformation project

*Food preparation for men's shelter and foodbank meals

*Workshop leadership for cooking workshops

*Social media - research, write content, post content

*Website - develop content, post content

*Community - promote garden transformation project in the community to promote awareness of the project, lay groundwork for community partnerships, expand volunteer network for garden work

*Social animation - plan social gatherings to highlight the garden transformation project

*Garden workshops - plan and work with volunteers to implement workshops promoting home gardening skills

Qualifications:

- Student between the age of 13 and 30 eligible to work in Canada
- Experience with social media management and content creation
- Experience with gardening and growing food and willingness to learn
- Experience with cooking and preserving and willingness to learn
- Experience with community engagement and animating projects
- Experience working with volunteers and as a volunteer
- Excellent communicator

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
