As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for:

- Supervise and mentor care staff to ensure excellent care delivery.
- Manage care plans, ensuring updates and documentation are in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct performance reviews, staff training, and orient new employees.
- Collaborate with the Director of Care (DOC) to address safety, quality, and care concerns.
- Lead education sessions for care staff and coordinate monthly in-service training.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and resident safety protocols.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary care conferences and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Oversee infection control programs and handle any outbreak procedures.
- Manage care audits and track staff performance and care hours.
- Address and resolve staff conflicts in collaboration with leadership.

Qualifications:

- Current RN license in good standing with the BCCNM.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Gerontological Nursing (preferred).
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with diverse teams and residents.
- Knowledge of care standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate leadership.

Skills and Abilities:

- High energy, organized, and able to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Results-oriented with strong decision-making abilities.
- Participative management style with a focus on teamwork.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Physical Demands and Health & Safety:

- Requires physical stamina to lift up to 50lbs and handle stressful situations.
- Exposure to various health and safety risks (e.g., lifting, repetitive strain, biological hazards, etc.).

Other Requirements:

- Willingness to participate in on-call emergency duties and attend staff meetings as needed.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper documentation and reporting.
