Contract Personal Trainer

The TLC is seeking Personal Trainers to work in our dynamic fitness facility. We are looking
for self-motivated, energetic trainers with the desire to build experience in a growing
community.

Personal Trainers develop, plan and instruct safe and effective training programs for clients
of the TLC, as well as provide various types of physical testing. The Personal Trainer is
required to work outside of traditional business hours. We are currently seeking Personal
Trainers who have exceptional customer service skills, along with strong communication,
decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills. Evening and weekend availability to
meet demands during these times. Experience working with teams in an athletic or
corporate environment would be an asset.

This contract position requires proof of liability insurance and current certification as a
Personal Trainer, i.e. CanFitPro Personal Trainer Specialist, ISSA Fitness Trainer, AFLCA
Certified Fitness Trainer or CSEP Certified Personal Trainer. A Post-secondary
degree/diploma in Kinesiology or Physical Education, a Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP),
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), or a NAIT Personal Fitness Trainer
Diploma is an asset. A cleared criminal record and vulnerable sector check, as well as a
current Intermediate First Aid/CPR/AED taken within the last two (2) years, is required. Must
have evening and weekend availability.

Wage range: $37 to $47/hour
