**About the Opportunity**

Ecofor is currently seeking **Archaeological Technicians** to join our team in Fort St James, Fort St John, Prince George, and Whitehorse.

This is an hourly position.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting in:

- Field reconnaissance and archaeological impact assessments for oil and gas, forestry, transportation, and other industries.
- The identification of areas of archaeological potential and archaeological sites.
- Data collection and data management.
- Systematic Data Recovery (excavation).

Working in collaboration with local First Nations.
Promoting a strong safety culture and working collaboratively within Ecofor’s corporate culture

**More About You**

To qualify, you will need to be pursing or have an undergraduate degree in Archaeology or Anthropology, or a combination of relevant experience.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, desire to grow the business, and work closely with other environmental professionals, environmental discipline leads, and First Nations.
- Physical ability to do strenuous fieldwork in a variety of field conditions.
- Willing to travel for work and stay in remote accommodations for extended periods of time.
- Experience in Cultural Resource Management is not required but would be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with handheld GPS units and mapping software, pedestrian survey, subsurface testing, excavation, data collection, field note taking, and laboratory experience would also be an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe software.
- Skills with snowmobiles, ATVs, and UTVs is an asset.

Due to the nature of the role, you must have a **valid Driver’s License**.
