We are currently recruiting a highly energetic and motivated **Fleet Specialist** for our Mississauga, ON location. The Fleet Specialist for planning, managing, coordinating and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, rental, replacement and disposal of the VitalAire Canada fleet consisting of large delivery trucks, medium sized up-fitted vehicles and passenger units.
- Liaisons with the leasing companies and ensuring the current vehicle inventory database is available and maintains a database/portal for all vehicle costs.
- Responsible for contract negotiations for the renewal and annual replacement of small, medium and large delivery vehicles.
- Coordinates approval specifications provided by the leasing company for vehicles and the acquisition of vehicles and the return and sale of used vehicles with the leasing company and the field.
- Responsible for gathering feedback and assisting with the evaluation of the fleet vehicles and liaisons with the leasing company to ensure that suggested improvements are implemented.
- Obtains, publishes and provides processes & training on operational and safety policies related to vehicles. Ensures all vehicles respect applicable legislation and VitalAire policies. Ensures the license plate renewals are completed in a timely manner by the leasing company. Follow up as required to ensure the field and the leasing companies are compliant with all the current processes.
- Monitors fuel consumption, fuel discrepancies and follows up as needed. Develops strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
- Continually evaluating new trends and technologies of transport equipment, brand, cost and related operation strategies.
- Assists in preparing the yearly fleet budget by comparing current vs historical financial history of fleet operation. Assists in the negotiation of new products and services through leasing/fleet vendors.
- Investigates and coordinates vehicle incidents by review and approval of estimates and repairs. Coordinates insurance claims through the accident management program through fleet vendors.
- Monthly review with internal stakeholders of total KM reports, of fuel consumption report, fleet budget, as well as the completion of the fleet dashboard.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders such as safety, quality and regulatory for industry updates around managing private fleets. Experience around the national forum of private counsel and best practices.
- Other duties as required by the National Logistic Manager.

**Here’s what you will need**
- College Certificate or Diploma
- Fleet Management & Transport Operations
- 2-3 years of experience in fleet management, including experience with budgeting, distribution, reporting, and safety and quality
- Familiar with RFID/GPS devices in vehicles (Tracking & Safety)
