**Job Title**:QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

**Reports to**:Management Team

**Job Summary**:

- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and training programs for employees
- Planning, Scheduling and Executing of Quality Programs
- Quality Control
- Metrology Control
- Maintenance of AS9100 and Nadcap accreditation

**Relationships**:

- Works in co-operation with all levels of personnel
- Works with external source quality assurance representatives
- Liaises with contracted facilities
- Government regulatory agencies

**Duties & **_**Business Development **_
- Responsibilities: - Develops new processes and capacities to provide faster turn around and lower operating costs.
- Prepares Business Development Summary (key indicators) for weekly meetings.
- Active preparation and participation in customer and regulatory audits.
- Ensures that Company policies are implemented and maintained as needed.
- Identifies key areas of risk and ensure that risk management policies are implemented.
- Supervises of Inspection, Process Planning, & Lab Personnel.
- Responsible for establishment of company QMS, process and work instructions.
- Responsible for ensuring inspections are carried out properly and QA.
- Data review and analysis, trend evaluations
- **Management and Development of Staff**_
- Responsible for adequate resources to satisfy the production flow requirements.
- Provides class room and practical training and supervision all QA/QC/NDT employees.
- Training of QA/QC personnel in use of equipment and reporting procedures
- Health & Safety practical training.
- Conducts employee performance reviews (setting goals, observing and giving feedback, addressing performance issues, firing employees, etc.),
- Responds to personnel emergencies as requested,
- May perform a variety of maintenance tasks,
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
- Provide leadership and direction for all staff.
- Encourage professional development and access to learning programs for staff
- **Planning, Scheduling and Execution of Quality Programs **_
- Plans, schedules and executes Quality programs to support production delivery commitments, AS9100 and NADCAP accreditation programs.
- Planning and maintenance of QC materials and equipment (for example, internal audit, evaluation of supplier, customer satisfaction etc.).
- Planning for personnel availability.
- **Quality Control **_
- Ensure that Company policies are established/implemented/maintained as needed
- Implementation of improvement in all phases of production, assisting in identifying, evaluating, and correcting problems, and performing other responsibilities as needed.
- Metrology management.
- Quality management of Special Processes
- Establish procedures for customer audits as required.
- Cost evaluation of Quality Programs and cost reduction initiatives.
- Assumes responsibility for hiring and discipline of quality control personnel.
- Ensures the establishment and maintenance of quality and production procedures and techniques.
- Determines quality requirements for suppliers and performs routine evaluations.
- Enforces control methods, periodic calibration of test equipment, periodic analysis of process solutions and testing of panels.
- Prepare and evaluate capital projects
- Environmental waste and disposal programs.
- Maintains a "Good Neighbour" policy in the community.
- Identify key areas of risk and ensure that risk management policies are implemented.
- Prepare QA/QC Summary (key indicators) for weekly meeting.
- Prepare and present quarterly Quality Management reports.

**Position Specifications**:

- Formal Education: College Diploma or equivalent training
- Work Experience: 3 + years
NADCAP
- A comprehensive understanding of pertinent specifications and information relevant to the above.
- Good ability with regards to public relations, decision making, acting on own initiative, working under pressure and interpersonal relationships
- Good Knowledge of standard business software and hardware.

**Special Requirements**:

- Comprehensive understanding of statistical methodologies for continuous process improvement.
- WHIMS Trained.
- Training as required for the position per ID 712.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
