**The opportunity**:
The Faculty of Arts strategic plan involves the growth and development of the co-op program across departments and to considerably increase the availability of experiential learning opportunities for Arts students. The position is part of the student services support team that provides clerical and administrative support for the operation of the cooperative education option in the Faculty of Arts.

**The qualifications and experience we’re looking for**:

- Completion of a formal training program in a related discipline from a recognized institution is required.
- University degree is preferred.
- Two years related experience in an administrative capacity is required.
- Experience working with students and employers is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with Co-op programs and/or Career Services at the University of Manitoba preferred.
- An acceptable equivalent of experience and education will be considered.
- Strong administrative and technical skills, including ability to effectively learn, navigate and leverage a range of technologies is required.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation, receive and direct clients at the front counter effectively both in-person and over the phone and manage multiple interruptions in a busy office environment.
- Ability to process documentation with accuracy and maintain attention to detail is required.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage difficult interactions effectively is required.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external contacts in a professional manner.
- Initiative, demonstrated organizational skill, and the ability to work on a variety of projects both independently and as part of a team, required.
- Ability to multi-task, be resourceful and be able to handle multiple requests and challenges is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using advanced features of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) is required.
- Knowledge of Aurora Student and INB preferred.
- Knowledge of UMAchieve preferred.
- Satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
