Thorold, Canada Social Connections ABA Therapy Full time

**Overview**
Social Connections ABA Therapy Inc. specializes in providing ABA Therapy services to neurodiverse children and youth, with a focus on skill acquisition of socially significant behaviours. As we expand our services, we are seeking an experienced Psychotherapist/Social Worker to offer compassionate support to neurodiverse children and adolescents, including those with ASD, ADD/ADHD, ODD, and GDD, as well as their families. By employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches, you will deliver personalized mental health support tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. Through close collaboration with families, you will play a vital role in laying a strong foundation for the healthy growth and development of every child. Additionally, services may involve providing support to caregivers including offering coping strategies and assistance in managing burnout.

Please be advised that the therapist should be flexible and accommodating, offering daytime availability for in-person sessions throughout the week. They should be prepared to meet clients at our Thorold and/or Grimsby locations as needed, in addition to providing virtual sessions upon request from the families we serve.

Duties
- Deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, counseling, and consultation services to children, youth, and their families with diverse neurodivergent needs.
- Provide mental health support by addressing coexisting issues like anxiety, depression, and accessibility challenges using specialized counselling methods.
- Customize treatment strategies to suit each client's unique requirements and consistently evaluate intervention effectiveness through data analysis.
- Provide services to family members including offering coping strategies and assistance in managing burnout.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team (including Registered Behaviour Analysts) to ensure comprehensive and holistic client care.
- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree and be in good standing with either The Ontario College of Social Workers, Social Service Workers or The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience.
- Experience working with young children, adolescents, and families is required.
- Ability to utilize empirically validated, trauma informed practices and other evidence-based treatment modalities is required.
- Familiarity with both individual and family therapy.
- On the OAP Providers list (preferred)
- Personal Liability Insurance (can be obtained upon hire)
- Vulnerable Sector Police Check (can be obtained upon hire)

Pay: $80.00-$100.00 per hour
