The Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship is accountable for integrated land and natural resource management, including objective setting for land and marine environments, effectively managing cumulative effects, and advancing reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, environmental sustainability, and economic growth.

The Wildlife Biologist implements and supports wildlife management.

**Job Requirements**:
Education and Experience:

- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in biological sciences or related field.
- Minimum four (4) years of related experience (or an acceptable combination of education and experience), including field-based biological sampling, analysis and reporting, and providing advice within a regulatory regime.
- Registered (or eligible) as a Registered Professional Biologist (RP Bio) in B.C. with the College of Applied Biology within six months of employment. **Note**:immediately eligible for registration is defined as being able to transfer a current membership from an applicable jurisdiction. Applicants must confirm their eligibility with the CAB. Confirmation of registration/eligibility will be required before an offer of employment can be made. Experience assessing and monitoring natural resources.Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

- Master’s degree in a related field (biology, wildlife biology, ecology, natural resource management, etc.).
- Experience leading staff in project or field settings.
- Advanced experience in a field related to wildlife and/or wildlife management.
- Experience working with First Nations on wildlife management including projects, strategic initiatives, and collaboration.**About this Position**:
