FULL TIME or PART TIME

Alberta Tent and Awning is looking to fill a skilled position in our sewing department. You must have experience needed to work independently and own the responsibility of this position. Experience in the awning industry or tent and covers is mandatory.
- 1 year minimum industrial sewing experience.
- Able to read and understand sewing diagrams and instructions and patterns.
- Cutting / Patterning / Sewing material accurately at a HIGH LEVEL OF QUALITY.
- Ability to move and handle large pieces of Vinyl and Sunbrella Fabric.
- Versatile in covering awnings in shop would be a plus, not required.
- Mathematical ability to measure and cut accurately.
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently and accurately.
- Working knowledge of industrial sewing machines and their maintenance
- Attention to detail a must and must able to read printed measurements and patterns.
- Experience cutting and sewing shade canopies is a plus
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must understand and communicate in English.
- Must be approved to work in Canada.
