1Reporting to the Assistant Manager of Staffing Services Department, the Staffing Clerk will provide full staff scheduling process, including the preparation of staff schedules for posting, filling of vacancies due to incidents such as sickness or LOA’s, and pre-booking of additional part-time staff to address short-term operational requirements. There will be rotational coverage of the Schedule Planner position as needed. Please note: this opportunity requiresshift work.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Work collaboratively with the Team, documenting information from incoming calls reporting absences from work, hiring of additional staff to address unanticipated operational requirements, communicate with Clinical/Departmental Managers/designates on a daily basis
- Process schedule change requests, accurate data entry into relevant databases, preprint staff schedule information in accordance with Staffing Office contingency plan
- Provide maintenance of staffing statistics, filing/clerical duties as required
- Participate in Committee and staff meetings

**REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS**:

- ** **Minimum 1 years of experience in a staffing/scheduling role working with scheduling processes and systems, preferably in a mental health care or hospital setting
- Minimum 1 years of experience in administrative functions
- Preference for proven knowledge of relevant legislation(s) and Waypoint’s collective agreements
- Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office Suite, staffing scheduling software
- Demonstrated analytical, conflict resolution, attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
- Results oriented work ethic to work independently and undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and deliver quality, consistent and timely results
- Proven ability to adapt readily to change
- Models and promotes core ethical practice, Waypoint Values, and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude
- Preference for proficiency in French/English
