**Community Service Worker**

Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a national non-profit organization, based in the Greater Toronto Area. CCS aims to empower immigrants and refugees of all religions, ethnicities, countries of origin, immigration status, sexual orientation, or political affiliation to develop the skills and acquire the necessary knowledge to settle, integrate and succeed in Canada.

Newcomers need linguistically-appropriate assistance and culturally-sensitive support and CCS delivers programs and services in thirty languages to address these gaps, assisting clients to confidently navigate the labour market, school and health care systems.

**What you'll get to do**:

- Review and analyze practice areas and processes in order to develop tools such as handbooks, tutorials and guides for staff and volunteer onboarding to support delivery of newcomer employment programs
- Conduct research and synthesize information to develop resources to support best practices in newcomer employer
- Develop information binder and deliver training sessions to introduce and support staff and volunteers to utilise tools and resources
- Develop and maintain information display boards and binders with information on newcomer employment resources and programs
- Support newcomers to navigate resource binder and identify appropriate training resources based on needs

**What you need to know/have**:
Experience in developing educational tools is an asset

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Excellent verbal communication skills

Critical thinking/sound judgement

**Location**: Scarborough

**Hours**: 35 per week

**Compensation**: $15.50 per hour
