**Position Summary**

We at Helping Hands are committed to providing reliable and caring transportation services for seniors, adults with disabilities, and their escorts to medical appointments, social outings, shopping, and meal delivery. Our goal is to ensure that no one misses out on life's important moments due to a lack of transportation.

**What you need to do**:

- Protect and promote the welfare, dignity, and individual rights of our clients, at all times
- Adhere to the goals, policies, Mission, Vision, and Values of Helping Hands, in all activities
- Provide transportation for clients to pre-determined destinations, providing a door-to-door service
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and clean vehicle, either volunteer or Helping Hands vehicle
- Ensure client safety by operating the vehicle within all rules of the road
- Ensure client confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Complete and submit vehicle circle check, submit fuel receipts and incident reports on the same day of service
- Communicate with the Manager any changes or concerns regarding clients
- Adhere to Helping Hands’ Policies and Procedures
- Participate in training modules as directed by Management
- Perform any other duties as assigned

**What you need to have**:

- Caring, friendly and patient attitude
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands
- High level of integrity and trust
- Responsible and reliable, able to work with mínimal supervision
- Physical ability to assist someone in and out of a vehicle, assist people with mobility aids and lift light equipment
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License and good driving record
- Proof of a minimum of $1,000,000 Liability Insurance if using volunteer vehicle
- Clean criminal record check including Vulnerable Sector Check
- Fluency in the French Language is an asset

- Due to the changing nature of the Organization’s role and relationship with funders, the duties and responsibilities of this position may change, from time to time, necessitating the delegation of other related duties within the Organization._
- This position is created and maintained within the Organization through program funding through the Government of Ontario. The continuation of this position within the organization is dependent on continued funding through the Government of Ontario._
