Save Our Seine River Environment Inc., a Winnipeg-based, environment-focused non-profit organization, is seeking the services of a videographer to provide video capture and editing services in collaboration with the Save our Seine History Project, funded by the Winnipeg Foundation Centennial
Grant. A contractor is needed for the purposes of recording digital stories during interviews with past founders, leaders, and activists of Save our Seine River Environment Inc.

**Scope of the History Project**

The goal of the project is to collect and preserve the history of the SOS organization as a prominent Winnipeg organization.

**Objective 1**. To interview SOS founders, leaders, activists and create digital recordings and transcripts of the organizational history
**Objective 2**:To compile the information collected from the interviews and prepare various formats
(including digital media-short film suitable for YouTube, PDF Booklet on the History) which will engage community in learning the historical and environmental importance of maintaining the ecological health of the area.

**Services Needed**

SOS requires the services of a contractor to provide **videography **services to our organization from
June 10th 2023 to December 31, 2023. The contractor will work in collaboration with the project interviewer to digitally capture the stories for the history project. We anticipate approximately 10-15 interviews. The contractor will develop a workplan, organize and plan the interviews with the project interviewer. The contractor will then edit and create the digital stories into a short-film product in collaboration with the project interviewer. The compiled short-film product will be available as a resource on our website. All of the raw videos will be provided back to SOS for its archives. SOS will give credit to the Winnipeg Foundation and the Contractor. Save Our Seine will also host a webinar to discuss this historical project and the products we produce giving credit to the Winnipeg Foundation.

**Scope of Work**:

- Working as a team with the History Project Interviewer to create digital stories of the history of

SOS
- Overall planning and work plan development in conjunction with the History Project Interviewer
- Join the History Project interviewer for in person capture and filming of digital stories
- Attend interviews with History Project Interviewer
- Edit digital stories to reflect the objectives of the project and under the guidance of the Advisory

Team
- Create final product (s) to reflect the objectives of the project including creating a compilation of the videos for the SOS YouTube channel
- Working under the Direction and guidance of the Managing Director and meeting periodically with the Project Advisory Team.

**Deliverables**

1. Completed Video Recordings of those interviewed

2. Edited videos recordings

3. Videos prepared into a product for upload onto YouTube

**Time Frame of the Contract**
- Project must be fully completed and deliverables to Save Our Seine prior to December 31, 2023
- Updates and demonstrable progress must be reported to the Managing Director on a monthly basis.

**Accountability**:Reports to the Managing Director and SOS Board. The videographer will work under the guidance of the SOS Managing Director and the SOS History Project Advisory Committee.

**Required Experience**:

- You have experience as a videographer, with access to equipment and software and have skills in use of editing software
- Ability to create a workplan and meet timelines
- Demonstrated ability to work together in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to create deliverables including edited videos and creation of digital products
