**Warehouse Supervisor**

**Job Synopsis**

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the GIT warehouse, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution of products. They ensure that warehouse operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, meeting company standards and customer expectations. They manage the warehouse team, optimize workflow, and ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

**Key Areas of Focus**
- Oversee the receiving, warehousing, and distribution processes, ensuring raw materials and dangerous goods are managed accurately and efficiently.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize workflow, storage, and inventory control.
- Monitor and conduct regular inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock.
- Inspect and verify the accuracy and quality of incoming shipments according to QA/QC protocols.
- Participate as a member of the Safety Committee.
- Attends daily Production Meetings.
- Manage, train, and mentor a team of warehouse employees.
- Plan and assign tasks, monitor performance to ensure productivity and accuracy.
- Enforce health and safety guidelines, providing training on safe practices and equipment handling. Ensure the warehouse complies with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, identify potential hazards, and take corrective actions.
- Implement and maintain accurate inventory control practices, including regular cycle counts and audits.
- Track stock movements, identify discrepancies, and resolve inventory issues to maintain data integrity.
- Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse in accordance with 5S or similar standards.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory accuracy.
- Generate reports on warehouse performance and productivity to inform management of progress and challenges.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Coordinate repairs or replacements to minimize downtime and ensure equipment is safe and functional.
- Facilitate and participate in the Air Cargo Security (ACS) program.

**Academic Qualifications & Professional Experience**
- **Educational Qualifications**:While a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration is desirable, a diploma from the "School of Hard Knocks" is equally valuable for achieving success in this role.
- **Relevant Experience**: Ideally a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a warehouse management position plus 1-2 years experience in a warehouse environment required.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement practices would be ideal.
- **Previous experience with customs regulations for handling international shipments of dangerous goods.**:

- **Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required**.**:
