Our growing company is currently looking to hire a Project Manager who is experienced in the Renewables industry. This position will be primarily accountable for managing projects in western Canada.
**Responsibilities**:
**As our Project Manager, you will be responsible to**:
- Provide leadership and mentoring to building a strong, safety focused culture
- Review bid packages, RFIs, drawings, changes, and contracts to ensure project is completed to client specs
- Build progress trackers for each project that is assigned, and present progress reports to clients and CDN management, ensuring projects are on track and on budget
- Track costs and forecasts for each project on a weekly basis
- Participate in weekly progress meetings with onsite and corporate management
- Review IFC documents with estimators to find scope changes from original IFB drawings
- Estimate and prepare change management documents for clients
- Ensure that the project supervisors have all the tools required to complete the job before the job starts (prints, bid package, trackers, etc.)
- Co-operate with purchasing team to make sure they have the proper bid documentation and quotes before orders are made
- Coordinate third party services, rentals and PO’s for projects (Trailers, Equipment, Permits, Wash cars, etc.)
- Work together with People & Culture team to ensure proper hiring and training of staff, and manage employees for all construction projects
- Conduct site inspections to ensure that the quality and safety aspects of the physical work are documented
- Liaise with CDN Invoicing team to make sure progressive billing is completed on time and correctly
- Review QA/QC turnovers during and at the end of the project to ensure client receives quality package
Qualifications:
**Qualifications required**:
- Journeyman Electrician or Instrumentation Technician
- Project and construction management experience including 5 years of experience leading successful E&I construction projects within the Renewables industry
- Strong leadership qualities and excellent organization, decision making, problem solving, and customer service skills
- Intermediate computer skills
- MS Project or Primavera scheduling experience is an asset
- Good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code
