Listowel, Canada Riverview Park Residence Full time

Riverview Park Residence is expanding their culinary team and looking for a professional dietary aide/server to assist the cook in final preparation for meal service as well as serve our residents. This member of the team will be engaged with our residents on a daily basis providing a warm smile and quality service.
- Replenish bistro and condiment containers between meal services
- Assist cook with food preparations as required
- Replenish cutlery rolls, re-set and clean private dining room
- Complete departmental cleaning and ware washing as required
- Be knowledgeable of and practice residence fire and safety programs
- Serve food to residents observing special diet restrictions, resident preferences and outline departmental procedures
- Clear tables, load and safely operate dishwasher. Complete manual ware washing as required.
- Re-set and clean dining room between meal services.
- Ensure inventory levels of paper supplies, drink supplies, and dishware/flatware are sufficient for service and to communicate when ordering needs to be completed to Culinary Manager.
- Assist with putting food delivery order away
- Clean flooring between meal seatings to maintain cleanliness of the dining room
- Communicate to Culinary Manager when stock of paper items or service items are low such as coffee, napkins, stir sticks and other condiment orders.

**Qualifications**:

- Current Food Handling Certificate from a local board of health or agency
- Previous employment in health care/hospitality/food service setting an asset.
- 4. Familiar with HACCP, WHIMIS, Occupational Health and Safety and Sanitation Codes
- Ability to speak read and write English. Must be able to follow oral and written directions.
- Patience, tolerance, and empathy for the needs of seniors
- Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Current 2-step TB testing
- Covid-19 and Flu Vaccination (strongly recommended)
- Completion of annual ORCA training to be compliant with Riverview Park training policy and in conjunction with RHRA mandatory training.

Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

**Salary**: $19.00 per hour

- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- dietary aide: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (required)
