Title: Shipping Supervisor (Temporary)

Department: Materials

Reports To: Customer Service and Warehouse Manager

**Overview**:
This position is responsible for coordinating all parts orders to meet customer requirements, and for planning and directing freight into the warehouse and to customers. This position will interface with the Material Planners to schedule inbound freight of components, and to control outbound freight costs.

Also, responsibilities include the maintaining of customer shipping schedule accum’s, and the daily review of customer requirements with the Production Control Coordinators.

**Principle Accountabilities**:

- Responsible for the shipment of all production, service and trial requirements.
- Responsible for all customer portals. Primary customer contact for shipping of finished goods
- Supervise the Material Handler(s) responsible for staging shipments, loading and unloading trucks, service part packaging, and shipping clerks at both locations
- Follow-up with OEM and service parts customers on shortages and shipping promises.
- Monitor and maintain delivery performance to OEM and service parts customers.
- Supervise the schedule of inbound and outbound transportation as needed.
- Review and approve freight invoices for payment.
- Track transportation costs and report out to Accounting and Materials Manager as required.
- Maintain Premium Transportation Log to track premium costs, to include initiating freight debit memos to Accounts Payable (inbound and outbound).
- Supervise tracking of returnable containers and arrange their return from customers and to suppliers.
- Two shift coverage - days and afternoons
- Requires weekend overtime and potential coverage on holidays.

**Qualifications**:
+ A University degree/College Diploma preferred.

+ Experience with customer portals

+ One to three years of wharehouse supervisory experience.

+ Three to five years experience in Materials.

+ Strong oral and written communication skills.

+ Strong organizational skills.

+ Knowledge of Logistics and customer delivery requirements.

+ Self-motivated

+ Computer skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

**Salary**: $25.32-$29.36 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chatham-Kent, ON N7M 5J4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
