**About the Role**

As a System Administrator, you’ll support a multiuser computing environment and ensure continuous, optimal performance of IT services and support systems for a rapidly growing company.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide IT support for employees located throughout Canada and the US
- Provide IT networking, hardware and software support for the offices and fulfillment centres located in Kingston, ON and Syracuse, NY
- Provide IT support for specialized software used by teams at DocuPet
- Manage and maintain software hosted by DocuPet and used by employees
- Procure and set up new equipment and software accounts as needed for new employees
- Provide training for new equipment and software to employees
- Assist with procuring new equipment for the offices and fulfillment centres
- Write and maintain documentation for employees related to their computers and the software they use
- Monitoring all of the external services utilized by DocuPet and notifying employees when there are issues
- Monitoring and ensuring that software on employee’s computers, office and fulfillment centre computers are kept up to date
- Monitoring and ensuring that employees are using 2FA on all of the applicable software and digital accounts that they use
- Manage shipping equipment to users and handling of returned equipment
- Manage inventory and supply needs for fulfillment centres located in Kingston, ON and Syracuse, NY
- Manage and audit hardware inventory
- Manage and audit software and digital account inventory
- Manage software and digital account license renewals
- Support software engineers in setting up and basic troubleshooting of their local development environments
- Research and propose hardware and / or software solutions for identified issues as needed
- Provide support for the DevOps team as required
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement on related IT processes to team lead
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Information Technology or a related field or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years of practical experience in network, hardware and software administration
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage time
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Keen interest in technological development and advancements
- Ability to suggest process improvements
- Familiarity with and ability to support users on both Windows and Mac OS
- Basic understanding of networking and ability to troubleshoot common issues
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace
- Basic knowledge of Docker and ssh-based authentication
- Must have ability to travel to Kingston, ON (licence and own vehicle)
- Must be able to travel to US as needed (valid passport or ability to get one)
- Familiarity with AWS an asset
- Familiarity with GitHub an asset
