**Our Design Department**
The ÉTS Department of design is looking for professors in user experience design (UX) with a specialization in one or more of the exclusive fields below. Applicants will ideally have relevant professional experience.

**Job Functions**
Applications are sought in the following areas:
**User experience design**
- UX design methodologies and processes, interaction design or service design;
- Design sciences;
- History of design, interaction design and UX design;
- Information architecture;
- Data visualization;
- Interface design (UI) and design systems;
- Social design and participatory design;
- Inclusive design and accessibility;
- Transition design and speculative design;
- Prototyping methods for UX design or interaction design.

**User research for design**
- Research methodologies for UX design, interaction design or service design (qualitative and quantitative methods from social sciences, data science and/or cognitive sciences);
- Exploratory research methodologies and evaluative research;
- Research methodologies for social design and participatory design;
- Research methodologies for inclusive design and accessibility.

**User experience (UX) design strategy**
- Product management and strategy in UX design;
- Design management in an organization (DesignOps);
- Content strategy and content design (UX Writing);
- Methodologies and processes for UX design, interaction design or service design;
- History of design, interaction design and UX design;
- Design sciences.

**Job description**
**As part of a dynamic research team, you will**:

- Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in one or more of the fields mentioned above;
- Supervise graduate students;
- Ability to undertake a research process and request the necessary funding from Quebec, Canadian or international government organizations, industrialists, municipalities, or foundations;
- Carry out subsidized or contractual research projects with industry and workplaces;
- Develop research programs.

**Requirement**
- Demonstrate aptitude or interest in teaching;
- Have industrial experience or research experience in close collaboration with industry (an asset);
- Be proficient in French (oral and written), in compliance with the ÉTS Language Policy (in French), or demonstrate a willingness to learn French and enter into a French learning program with the support of ÉTS.
