**Job description**

Unionville College is seeking a Student Supervisor who will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and care of students, staff, and visitors at our Stouffville campus. This individual will be responsible for monitoring various areas of the campus, including hallways, cafeteria, parking lot, and playing fields during and after school hours. The Student Supervisor will work closely with students aged 11-15 years, promoting a positive and safe learning environment. This position will report directly the the Secondary Principal.

**Responsibilities**
- Monitor designated areas of the school campus to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors. Identify and address any potential security risks or unauthorized activities.
- Work from 10:15am to 6:15pm, Monday to Friday with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break, except during school holidays and Professional Development (PD) days.
- Conduct regular patrols both inside and outside the school premises, covering hallways, cafeteria, parking lot, playing fields, and other designated areas.
- Engage positively with students aged 11-15 years, fostering a supportive and respectful environment. Be available to address any students concerns or conflicts that may arise during the school day.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents. Report any incidents, concerns or emergencies promptly to the Secondary Principal or other designated authorities.
- Be prepared to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, following school protocols and procedures.
- Exhibit a positive and professional attitude, serving as a role model for students in behaviour, attitude, and adherence to school policies

**Requirements**:
The role requires the ability to walk a moderate distance both indoors and outdoors throughout the school day.

Demonstrated willingness and enthusiasm to work with young people aged 11-15 years, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment.

Must have a valid vulnerable sector police check clearance or be willing to obtain one before starting the position.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Punctuality and reliability are essential qualities to ensure the safety and well-being of the school community.
